Elementary School
At the Primary School level, Arab International Academy implements the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), which serves students from early years through Grade 5. The programme is built around inquiry-based learning, encouraging students to ask questions, investigate, and construct understanding through experience and meaningful interaction both inside and outside the classroom.
Through its Programs, the Academy aims to support the child’s holistic development; academically, socially, and emotionally, while embedding strong ethical values and fostering an open-minded attitude that respects diversity and appreciates difference. The programme also promotes independent learning skills, encourages students to take ownership of their learning, and builds confidence in their abilities.
At the Primary School stage, the Academy offers two educational pathways for students in Grades 1 to 5:
- Arabic Language Pathway: Core subjects are taught in an integrated manner in Arabic, with advanced instruction in English. French or Spanish is offered as a third language.
- English Language Pathway: Core subjects are taught in an integrated manner in English, with Arabic taught as a second language at varying proficiency levels. French or Spanish is offered as a third language.
This diversity of pathways provides a balanced educational experience that responds to students’ linguistic needs and supports their academic and cultural development within a bilingual learning environment.
